The Doctor (10)
BIRTHDAY | AGE:
He has no idea in Earth time. But, if pressed randomly chooses October 18th | 900+
All the other versions of himself. Granddaughter - Susan. Daughter - Jenny.
Timelord / Gallifreyan
- Highly intelligent and quick thinking. Is very quick to solve most problems, and very rarely actually has a plan. He just works with what he has around him.
- His link with the TARDIS means he can translate any language. Although, he's probably learned most of them, anyway.
- He's a Time Lord, which means that he looked into the Time Vortex as a child. Giving him a uniquely different view on time and space. He also has a very different physiology than a human, and can metabolize certain poisons if he has the right ingredients. And, can take a much higher dose of radiation. Time Lords also have two hearts. Which means he can still keep going of one stops. Although, that is incredibly uncomfortable. Time Lords can also regenerate when mortally wounded. And, are slightly telepathic.

HISTORY & PERSONALITY
DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER'S PERSONALITY:
He’s extremely loyal to his friends and companions. And will do anything to protect them. But, knows that he can’t always do that, although it hurts him every time. He also knows that without these companions, he can't be the person that people expect him to be. Because, he is not
a good man. And, he needs people like Rose, Martha and Donna to keep him compassionate.
In some ways, he can be a huge 900 year old child, getting excited by new and different experiences, and always running off into an adventure. It can be a chore to get him to stay still, and he hates living on the slow path. He'd much rather jump ahead to the fun parts of life. He can't resist a mystery. Needing to know what things are, even if it ends up putting him and others in harms way. But, he can't help it, it's a compulsion for him. However, when he realises that a situation is extremely dangerous, he orders his companions back into the TARDIS, and out of harms way. Not that they ever listen.
The Doctor can rarely stop himself from helping random strangers. He seems to collect people on his adventures. And, while many of them won't end up traveling with him. He cares about each and everyone. He tries to prevent suffering wherever he can. Although, knows that some things are fixed points in history. And, there is nothing he can do to help them. However much he wants to. And, this breaks his hearts every time.
The Doctor knows
he's a genius. And, acts like it quite often. He can get extremely cocky when facing off against an opponent. Even when that opponent seems to have the upper hand. Because, at the end of the day. His reputation preceded him. And, he knows
that many of those who have heard of him, will be terrified. When traveling on his own, he acts like he has the right to be judge, jury and executioner at times. This is why he needs companions. To remind him to be compassionate. But, also to keep his ego in check. People like Donna especially kept him humble. And reminded him to care.
He’s highly intelligent, and quite regularly forgets that his companions do not have the scientific knowledge that he does, and spouts off technical jargon regularly. Then gets frustrated when he has to dumb down his explanations. He also doesn't generally have the patience to stay and live time in the same way that everyone else does. He always wants to be skipping off to the next adventure. So, he never sticks around after the adventure is done.
The Doctor has a lot of rules for himself. Rules that he had to build to keep himself in check. Because he is the oncoming storm, and he isn't a good man. He will commit attrocities if he thinks the occasion warrants it. When he's on his own, he's prone to be vicious and unforgiving. Prone to fits of righteous anger. Especially when he is reminded of the levels of violence and cruelty that humanity is capable of. He also has an intense hatred of Daleks and everything they stand for. They are quite often the one area that his companions can find it hard to change his mind about. In his mind, they are evil and should be destroyed at any cost.
DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER'S HISTORY:
When he was still young and in his first incarnation, the Doctor wanted to see time and space. So, he stole a TARDIS and ran away. Although, if you ask the TARDIS, it was the other way around. She stole a Time Lord and ran away.
He spent most of his incarnations travelling time and space with various companions. Fixing problems where he found them. And then the Time War happened.
The Last Great Time War changed the Doctor’s life for ever. He’d ended the time war at the cost of his people, his home. As the War Doctor, he destroyed Gallifrey. Then he was alone, the last of the Time Lords. Or so he thought.
As his ninth (really the tenth) incarnation he travelled alone. Until he met Rose Tyler, she showed him how to feel again. And then when he tried to send her away, to save her. She looked into the heart of the TARDIS, became BAD WOLF. It would have killed her, if he hadn’t absorbed the Time Vortex from her, and triggered a regeneration.
Something went wrong during the regeneration cycle. Meaning he was giving of regeneration energy, which attracted the attention of the Sycorax. Rose tried her best to fend off the invasion. But, eventually the doctor was revived by tea (because tea is life), and fought off the Sycorax. His hand was chopped off during a fight. But during the first 14 hours of regeneration he still had enough regeneration energy to grow it back. This hand was then picked up by Captain Jack Harkness.
After this the Doctor continued travelling with Rose, until she was lost in a parallel universe. He couldn’t get her back, but still couldn’t tell her how he felt when he said goodbye. But at least he knew she was safe with her parents.
Then he met Martha Jones, the girl who walked the Earth. She helped him connect, and with her and Jack Harkness he realised he wasn’t alone. The Master was alive. After the Master’s paradox had been destroyed Martha left him. She couldn’t stay with him when he would never feel the same way for her. Just before they found the Master, he got his spare hand back from Jack.
And then there was Donna, the Runaway Bride. She saved his life. As she saw in a parallel universe, without her, he would not have been alive to save them when the Daleks moved 27 planets through time and space. Without Donna, he would not have found Rose again.
Except, he’d lost Rose again, voluntarily this time. He’d accidentally created a metacrisis of himself, and he couldn’t stay in his universe. But, he could go back with Rose, because the metacrisis was human, and could spend his life with the woman he loved. Grow old with her. Something he couldn’t do. He’d also lost Donna then, her head was filled with so much Time Lord knowledge, it was killing her. He’d had to wipe her memories. Make her forget him.
After that, he travelled alone for a while. Until he ended up in Elizabethan England. Asked Queen Elizabeth to marry him, and then a time vortex opened up. Through which came a fez, shortly followed by his eleventh incarnation, and then by the one he never liked to think about. The incarnation he wanted to forget. The War Doctor. Together, they saved the planet (again), before The War Doctor went back to use the Moment, and destroy Gallifrey. But, ten and eleven decide that he shouldn’t be alone. But, before they pressed the button, they had another idea. A way to save Gallifrey. Freeze it in time, like a painting. It would take hundreds of years of calculation, and all 13 of him, but they could do it. And do it they did.
After this, he joined up with Donna's Granddad, Wilfred. Discovering that The Master was alive again, and with Wilfred's help he managed to work out what The Master was doing. And, in the end prevent the Time Lord's from returning. Because the Universe did not deserve what they'd become during the war. And, as Rasillon decided to take The Doctor with them. The Master interfered. Saving him. Shocked The Doctor lay their on the floor, amazed he was still alive. Until he heard it. "Knock knock, knock knock".
WHAT POINT IN TIME DOES YOUR CHARACTER COME FROM IN GAME?
End of Time - Just at "knock knock, knock knock"
THREE DEFINING MOMENTS IN CHARACTER'S LIFE.
- Stealing the TARDIS and running away. It was the best decision of his entire life.
- The Time War, and more specifically, the ending of the Time War. The Doctor believes he destroyed both the Daleks and the Timelords. But, instead he froze it in time, and included all of his incarnations to do so. However, due to the distortions caused by so many of him being in the same time and place, he doesn't remember this.
- Meeting Rose Tyler. If he hadn't, who knows where he'd be now. She saved him in some way. Stopped him from becoming an angry recluse, and helped him regains himself, and begin healing after the war.
